Mestec announces new major release - Mestec MES Version 3.0 (Dec 2006)Mestec, the authors of the award-winning Mestec MES solution (Manufacturing Execution System) today announced the release of Version 3.0.“Version 3.0 is a major new release combining significant enhancements to the user interface together with numerous new features” commented Mike Allerton, Technical Director at Mestec, “Incorporating Microsoft .Net technologies, this new version has an entirely new look and feel. Most importantly, it will provide our customers with a faster return-on-investment than was previously possible through easier configuration & maintenance coupled with more powerful functionality.”
Version 3.0 enhancements include:1. Enhanced navigation functionality and options.
2. Simplified configuration functionality including a multi-window environment.
3. New reporting functionality.
4. More powerful event management capabilities.
5. All previous ‘management applications’ are now bundled as one product – with a new product name; the ‘Mestec Manager’.
Version 3.0 will be available for new and upgrading customers in January 2007. “Everyone who has seen Version 3.0 has been very impressed” added Jeremy Harford, Managing Director for Mestec, “We are very much looking forward to launching this new product in parallel with some very sector-focussed marketing activities that we have planned for 2007.”
