Configuration, Not Customisation
Mestec is highly configurable which allows the system to be set-up for a wide range of manufacturing
organisations and sector using very simple configuration only. Most 'traditional' MES systems almost always require customisation which results in increased implementation costs.
Mestec MES is a 'ready-to-go' product, as opposed to a 'tool-kit' which needs a considerable amount of the vendors
services or consultancy to implement.
The average ratio of license cost to implementation cost for most MES products is 1:3, whereas Mestec is more like 3:1.
So with similar license costs, a Mestec implementation costs 1/3 and 1/2 the price of alternative systems.
Customer Ownership
Rather than complex customisation, Mestec focuses upon knowledge-transfer and training. This enables the customer
to 'own' and manage a significant amount of the implementation process using its own resources which are much less expensive
than 3rd party consultancy costs. This also keeps post-implementation costs to a minimum.
The lower overall cost of the Mestec system provides positive commercial differentiation at all levels, especially to smaller
organisations where the business case / ROI would not support a more expensive system. Therefore, this makes Mestec
ideal for both small and large organisations alike.
Mestec is particularly suited to manual-intensive production environments as its incrediblly intuitive and simple
touchscreen interface makes its use accessible to operators with little to no computer literacy. Simple screens
can be designed using simple wizards which then guide operators through easy-to-understand sequential steps.
Mestec provides all the benefits and
value of
larger / more specialised MES systems; it's just simpler to implement.
Targeted Industry Sectors
The highly-flexible configurability allows Mestec to be used in:
-
A wide range of applications and manufacturing sectors (including aerospace & defence, electronics, automotive,
industrial, and engineering products.
-
In the mid-market where low implementation costs and rapid-implementation are the key.
