In the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, I would like reassure our customers that MESTEC are taking every possible precaution to protect our staff and maintain our service and support.
Following government advice, all MESTEC staff are working from home. In fact home-working has always been routine for a good proportion of our staff and so this does not have a great impact on us.
We are clearly trying to restrict non-essential travel, and so we will be delivering as many services as possible remotely using Microsoft Teams or other web-conferencing facilities. Again, we have always routinely used web-conferencing as an efficient way of working, so this is not a radical departure from our normal working practice. We will of course miss some of the social interactions that come about through site visits!
Our services are hosted by Oracle and Microsoft who have extensive business continuity plans, and we have been reassured that there is no perceived threat to their ability to continue to deliver their services.
